Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, Jimmy Odukoya, has remarried and formally introduced his new wife to the congregation during Sunday service on November 1, 2026, at the church’s headquarters in Ilupeju, Lagos.
The Nollywood actor-turned-cleric presented Pastor Mo Odukoya (also referred to as Pastor Mo Jasmine) as the new first lady of the church. The couple walked to the altar together amid applause from worshippers.
Odukoya told the congregation he had remained single since assuming leadership of the church following the d3ath of his father, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, in August 2023. Referencing the Bible, he said: “You know, the Bible said it is not good… it said I will find someone suitable. When Adam saw, he said this is the flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone. I was looking and searching, and I found.” He then introduced her as “Pastor Mrs Odukoya, a new first lady, my wife. Pastor Mo Odukoya.”
The introduction came days after Odukoya sparked widespread speculation by posting a photograph on Instagram showing two ring-adorned hands with the caption “To New Beginnings.” Some followers had wondered if the image was artwork; he clarified during the service that it was his wife.
Pastor Tunde Bakare of The Citadel Global Community Church, who blessed the marriage in the United States, disclosed that Mo is the daughter of Reverend Theophilus and Bolaji Daniel. She will henceforth be known as Pastor Mo Odukoya.
Odukoya was previously married to Oluwakemi Sade Banjoko (popularly known as Kemi Odukoya). The couple wed in London in March 2013 and have two children together before their separation. Jimmy Odukoya, son of the late Pastors Taiwo and Bimbo Odukoya (founders of The Fountain of Life Church), is also known for his acting career, including his role as Oba Ade in the 2022 Hollywood film The Woman King.
The announcement has drawn mixed reactions online, with many congratulating the couple while others commented on the remarriage of a high-profile pastor.
