Story for tonight…
EPISODE 2: A DOOR SLAMS SHUT:
“You know I’m happily married…”
“With four grown children, right?” Taiwo said, his voice suddenly cold.

Sade blinked.
“I—”
“Where exactly do you want to fit in?” he cut in sharply.
“Into what home? Into what structure?”
Each word hit like a slap.
“The idea alone could destroy my wife.”
Sade’s heart dropped.
“I don’t want to have this conversation,” Taiwo continued.
“Name your price. I will settle you — generously. But this ends here.”
Sade staggered back.
“I thought I meant something to you, Taiwo…”
“We’ve come so far. Don’t abandon me. I won’t survive this. What will people say?”
“You’ll survive,” he replied bluntly.
“People always do.”
His tone hardened.
“I never planned for polygamy. My home is stable. Structured. I won’t destroy it.”
He stepped away from her.
“Do you want to move into my house? Impossible ! Do you expect me to leave my home for yours ? Never !”
Then the final blow:
“Send me your price. I’ll compensate you beyond anything you ask… but you must disappear from my life.”
Sade collapsed to the floor, weeping.
Taiwo didn’t move.
“If you don’t leave now, I’ll have security throw you out.”
Something inside Sade broke.
“It’s alright…” she whispered. “Can I take the day off?”
“Take 10 decades off !”
“Do whatever you like,” Taiwo snapped. “Just stay away from me.”
“Disappear !”
As she walked out—
Taiwo picked up his phone.
“Change all access codes. Office. Private lift. Immediately !”
“And, don’t share them with anyone without my permission !”
“Yes Sir !” The CSO understood perfectly, having followed the footage on the exclusive CCTV access.
EPISODE 3: THE SHRINE SPEAKS:
Sade didn’t remove her tinted glasses.
Not in the lift.
Not in the car.
“Take me home,” she ordered her driver.
Minutes later, she sent a message to her assistant:
“Andy, take over. I’ll be away for a few days.”
When she got home, she sent the driver away, washed her face… and went straight to Baba’s shrine.
The air felt heavy.
Before she could speak—
“You have made a mistake.”
Baba didn’t look up.
His fingers moved slowly over his Ifa beads.
Sade froze.
“Who enters polygamy with mere words?” he continued.
“Do you think this is a game?”
Her voice shook.
“Baba… what do I do?”
“Chief and his wife are bound,” he said slowly. “Spiritually.”
“That bond will not break easily.”

“May never break.”
The words landed like a verdict.
“Stay away from him,” Baba said.
“I will prepare you. Strengthen you.”
Then he paused.
“But if you ask me… do not marry that man.”
Silence.
“You may go,” he said without looking in her direction.
Sade dropped six bundles of cash before him.
“Thank you, Baba.”
As she turned to leave…
Baba’s beads moved faster.
Almost urgently.
