Story for tonight…
Episode 1: The Office Queen
In the heart of Eko Atlantic City, Taiwo Adebayo’s office was a kingdom, and only one person held the keys: Sade, his thirty-two-year-old personal assistant.

Sade’s influence was absolute. Every staff member, from the receptionist to the chief security officer, navigated their days around her whims. Some flattered her shamelessly, others whispered behind her back, but none dared to cross her.
She scheduled Taiwo’s meetings, screened visitors, and decided who could even see him. Seductive women were banned by her silent decree—especially. She told clients that such ladies were viewed by chief as manipulation and lack of substance in proposals.
Alhaja Modupe, Taiwo’s wife, whom Sade had already assessed as too soft and sheltered to be a real threat. Modupe never visited the office except for office galas and end of year and award- giving nights. For Sade, save for Modupe’s great dress sense, she was timid, lacked good public communication skills and was no barrier to her relationship with Taiwo.
Sade even prepared Taiwo’s meals, timing each dish perfectly, until he casually told Modupe that breakfast and lunch were no longer her concern. Rumors spread—some called her the office wife, others whispered about stolen kisses captured on security footage. She wondered how a semi-illiterate, timid woman would have so much wealth, all to herself. Sade even got Taiwo to buy her a house in an exclusive area of Banana Island, in addition to the 2025 editions of a G-Wagon and Range Rover Velar. She got Taiwo to enroll her younger brother in the University of Zurich (UZH), Switzerland, and bankroll her older sister’s wedding that has remained the talk of the town.
Modupe noticed the changes in Taiwo, the late nights, early resumptions at work and more importantly his attention to his looks. Talk about new perfumes that lingered even for days when he is out of town.
And though she never nagged, she was not given to nagging or domestic squabbles but knew she had to act. She would not allow jealousy to destroy her marriage—but she would not stand idle either. Not with some strange woman who doesn’t know her history with Taiwo.
To confirm her fears, Taiwo’s driver felt a sense of responsibility to fill her in on one occasion when Chief was on a business trip to Spain. She listened patiently, close to tears, thanked and rewarded the driver generously.
Episode 2: Secrets and Strategy:
Modupe sought counsel from Iya Ramota, the only person besides Taiwo who had selflessly treated her like a human being. One to always return favours, Modupe earlier convinced Taiwo to buy Iya Ramota a 4-storey building in the heart of corporate VI where she installed a state of the art kitchen, local and continental restaurants and hired the best caterers in town.
Iya Ramota was only too willing to listen to Modupe’s woes and offer help. She poured out her fears—the growing tension, the rumors, and Sade’s dominance over the office.
Iya Ramota listened patiently. “You cannot fight him,” she said calmly. “Nor can you fight Sade. But there is always a way.”
Together, they approached the strongest Alpha in Ogbomosho, Alhaji Mustapha Abdul Aziz Oreofe. Modupe told him everything. Alhaji Oreofe listened silently, then spoke with authority:
“Your husband will disclose the affair himself and very soon too. Don’t react, never get dramatic. You must not be angry. You must welcome her when she comes. Once she settles in, the real plan unfolds.”
Modupe’s chest tightened, but she understood. Is it even possible to share Taiwo with another woman ? But according to Alpha, patience and strategy would be her weapons, not fury.
Episode 3: Alhaji Oreofe Set the Chessboard:
“Lock her womb and once locked, it will be the end for her. She will never get pregnant, even with another man. Sade’s pregnancy would complicate everything. She wants trouble, she will get trouble.
“Within 2 years, another woman will come. You must deal with both with precision, not emotion. Challenge your husband now, and you will lose him entirely.”
He revealed the first step: Sade would return in three days with three sets of Taiwo’s favorite office clothes. She would ensure he wore them in quick succession—a silent weapon in her scheme of influence.
Modupe left with calm determination. She would face Sade, face the office, and even face her husband’s divided attention—but she would do so with the patience of a warrior who knew timing, not anger, won battles.
Watch out for chapter 5 where the real polygamy drama unfolds…
