Ghali Mustapha (Ajingi/Albasu/Gaya federal constituency), Shehu Bello (Fagge federal constituency), Dankawu Idris (Kumbotso federal constituency), Hussain Hassan Shehu (Nassarawa federal constituency), Rabiu Yusuf (Sumaila/Takai federal constituency), Garba Chiroma (Gezawa/Gabasawa federal constituency), Ibrahim Mohammed (Gwale federal constituency), Tijjani Jobe (Tofa/Dawakin-Tofa/Rimingado federal constituency), and Aliu Madaki, deputy minority leader (Dala federal constituency).

Tajudeen Abbas, speaker of the house, read the defection notices during Tuesday’s plenary
The lawmakers said internal crisis in their former parties prompted their defection.
Abba Yusuf, governor of Kano; Barau Jibrin, deputy senate president; Abdullahi Ganduje, ex-governor of Kano, and APC chieftains were at plenary to witness the defections.
Yusuf left the NNPP for the APC in January, placing him at odds with Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former governor, who backed his election.
Kwankwaso moved to the African Democratic Party (ADC) on Monday.
