A circulating version of his remarks, shared widely on X (formerly Twitter), elaborates further: “Congratulations to the NDC. We now have five APC governors secretly supporting the NDC ahead of the 2027 election. I was in a meeting with them, and they listed their terms and conditions.” Some reports of the video also allege the governors indicated willingness to support electoral operations in certain areas, including Rivers State and the Federal Capital Territory.
The NDC is the platform of former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi, who was ratified as its presidential candidate earlier in 2026, with former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as his running mate.
