The Ogun State Government has announced that all public and private primary and secondary schools, including government technical colleges, will resume for the third term of the 2025/2026 academic session on Monday.
The disclosure was contained in a statement issued on April 22, 2026, by the state Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
The statement, signed by the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Abayomi Arigbabu, noted that the resumption date aligns with the approved academic calendar for the session.
According to the ministry, all schools across the state are expected to commence academic activities immediately upon resumption.
The government called on parents and guardians to ensure that their children and wards return to school without delay.
“Parents and guardians are enjoined to prepare their wards for immediate resumption as academic work will start without any delay,” the statement read.
The third term marks the concluding phase of the 2025/2026 academic session in Ogun State.
During this period, schools are expected to complete academic syllabuses, conduct promotion examinations, and prepare candidates for external examinations.
Schools in the state had earlier gone on vacation following the completion of the second term academic activities.
