The mother of late Nollywood actress and social media influencer Nimmy Ferrari has publicly appealed for help, alleging that members of her daughter’s paternal family are planning to sell the newly built house where the 26-year-old was buried just days after her d3ath.
Nimmy Ferrari, whose real name was Adesanya Nimota Omotolani, is alleged to have d!ed in early September 2026, after complications from fibroid surgery.
She had just finished building a home in Sagamu, Ogun State, and was preparing for a housewarming ceremony that never took place.
Fellow actress Oluwakemisola Apesin (Kemity) announced her d3ath on Instagram on September 7. Mourners later gathered at the property as she was laid to rest within the compound.
In a viral video circulating on social media on September 9, Nimmy’s mother, speaking in Yoruba, accused the father’s relatives of opposing the burial at the house and of now seeking to sell the property. She said she had given permission for her daughter to be interred there so that her legacy would not be lost, noting that Nimmy had no children.
“Nigerians, save me from Nimota’s father’s family. They said Nimota should not be buried in her house. I had five children for their family, and it’s just Nimota left. Same Nimota, they have k!lled her now they want to take the house,” she said.
She claimed she single-handedly raised and educated Nimmy through university, funded her hospital care, and received no financial support from the father. She further alleged that the father once injured her, leaving stitches on her head, during a dispute over school fees. “I have my own house; there is nothing I want to use Nimota’s house for. Help me, they want to sell the house off. He did not spend a dime on her,” she added.
The father has rejected the allegations. In his own video response, he denied any involvement in his daughter’s d3ath, stating he could not k!ll his child. He said Nimmy contacted him after already checking into hospital for the fibroid procedure, which was quoted at ₦3.6 million, and that he suggested an alternative doctor in Abeokuta.
On the property, he claimed the land was allocated free of charge from family land after Nimmy expressed interest in building her own house. He said he informed family elders, supervised construction, and that Nimmy specifically asked him to keep the project secret from her mother because the mother had previously sold a plot of land Nimmy had acquired.
He also accused the mother of removing Nimmy’s car and other belongings and of withdrawing money from an account he had opened for their daughter.
The conflicting accounts have intensified public discussion around the young actress’s d3ath and the fate of the home she completed shortly before her passing. No independent verification of the medical cause of death or the property ownership claims has been publicly confirmed by authorities at the time of reporting.
Fans and colleagues continue to mourn the rising star, whose final social media posts reflected optimism just days before her death.
