Osubi, Delta State — Delta State Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori and his wife, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, were actively engaged in ushering duties and worship during Sunday service at Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel), Osubi, on October 4, 2026.
A video posted earlier today by the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Media, Ossai Ovie Success, shows the couple participating in the service.

In the footage, Governor Oborevwori, dressed in white traditional attire, is seen handling offering collections — receiving bags from other church workers and placing them into a large blue container — while his wife assists nearby. The pair later joins in energetic dancing and praise during the worship segment, with the governor moving to the music alongside other congregants.
Success captioned the post: “Delta Governor doing Ushering work in church today. This morning at Winners Chapel Osubi, Delta State, Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori accompanied by his wife Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori were active in their ushering duty and also dancing gloriously to God at Winners Chapel.”
The video, which has drawn significant online attention, captures moments of the governor bending to deposit offerings and the couple worshipping freely in the church auditorium. Oborevwori, an elder in the Living Faith Church, has previously been seen performing similar service roles, including at the church’s Osubi branch and during the national Shiloh 2025 programme in Ota, Ogun State.
In a related development at the same service, the Covenant Voices and Youth Ministry of the church presented Distinguished Service Awards to the governor and his wife in recognition of their contributions to the Christian faith and the development of Delta State. The Resident Pastor, Pastor John Jesus-Favourite, also used the occasion to urge congregants to support Oborevwori’s re-election bid in 2027, citing projects executed under his administration.
The governor’s consistent participation in church service roles continues to generate discussion. Supporters view it as evidence of humility and genuine faith that transcends political office, while some critics argue that such public displays should be matched by stronger focus on governance outcomes.
Oborevwori, who assumed office in 2023 and later joined the All Progressives Congress, remains a regular worshipper at the Osubi branch of Winners Chapel.
