Ughelli, Delta State — The office of Ambassador Tobore Alex Agbah, who organised a large Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) march in Ughelli on Saturday, was sealed on Sunday, October 4, 2026, by authorities of the Ughelli North Local Government Area.
A video circulating on social media shows a man standing in front of a property covered with tarpaulin, pointing to a “SEAL ORDER” notice affixed to the structure. The notice, bearing official markings and a red cross, indicates the premises have been sealed.

The clip also features images of a branded vehicle linked to Agbah and political campaign materials supporting NDC candidates, including Chief Dr. Christopher Obiuwevbi Ominimini.
Agbah is identified as the organiser of Saturday’s 10,000-man march in Ughelli North in support of the NDC, including its presidential ticket and local candidates. The rally, which drew significant crowds, was part of ongoing opposition mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Ughelli North Local Government Chairman Olorogun Jaro Egbo has rejected claims that the sealing was politically motivated. In a response to public appeals, including one from journalist and activist Fejiro Oliver, Egbo stated that the enforcement action was based on alleged regulatory violations. He explained that the property had been constructed under a high-tension electricity line, which constitutes a safety and planning infringement.
Oliver had publicly appealed to the chairman not to demolish or seal the property of Agbah, citing their longstanding personal relationship and expressing concern that the action followed the successful NDC rally. He also alleged that council officials had been directed to interfere with a branded NDC vehicle. Egbo dismissed the political interpretation and maintained that the action was purely administrative.
The development has drawn sharp reactions online, with some NDC supporters describing the sealing as an attempt to intimidate opposition organisers. Others noted that similar enforcement actions against structures built under power lines have occurred previously in various localities.
As of Sunday evening, there was no immediate public statement from Agbah or the NDC leadership on the sealing. The incident adds to the tense political atmosphere in Delta State, where the ruling All Progressives Congress and opposition parties continue to jostle for influence ahead of the 2027 polls.
The report is based on circulating video footage, social media posts from October 4, 2026 and statements by Ughelli North LGA Chairman Jaro Egbo.
