There was chaos at the Abuja Federal High Court on Monday when heavily armed operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, dragged the African Action Congress, AAC, presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, into custody following a remand order.
This took place shortly after Justice Mohammed Umar ordered that Sowore be remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre until Wednesday.

He was then taken from the courtroom, fully kitted DSS operatives took control of the activist.
Sowore however, insisted that he would not go in a black maria while those who steal the country’s billions are taken to prison in luxury vehicles.
He was then taken in a new DSS Hilux van.
The development followed the judge’s decision to revoke Sowore’s bail, a ruling tied to allegations brought by the DSS regarding public statements where Sowore reportedly referred to President Bola Tinubu as a criminal.
Earlier in the court session, Justice Umar dismissed an application in which the activist asked the judge to step down from the case.
