Ify Onwuemena, Nollywood Actress Battles with Cancer

One of Nollywood’s veterans actresses, Ify Onwuemene is currently bed-ridden as she battles with cancer. 

Ify is one of the old bread who starred with Enebeli Elebuwa (of the ‘checking out of Nigeria fame’), Gloria Young and Late Sam Loco.

She is famed to have starred in the TV series, ‘Everyday People’ as wife to Sam Loco.

Ify Onwuemene, obviously ravaged by cancer as seen in pictures posted by fellow actress and friend, Gloria Young looks frail and very much unlike her vibrant beautiful self. 

She says she spent over N6 million since last year after being diagnosed with stage 3 endometrial cancer only to be told that she needs another 6 sessions.

While thanking everyone who has donated so far she appealed for more to help her battle the disease. 

Gloria Young, on her social media handles she sent pictures of Ify Onwuemene before and during her battle with cancer. She assists to seek for more funds:

“Folks please we need help for our sister @ifyonwuemene, an actress from the days of Sam Loco and Enebeli Elebuwa. 

“I worked with her on the set of Tajudeen Adepetu’s “Everyday People” in the late 90s. She is down with endometrial cancer. She has tried sourcing for funds on her own, but nothing is too small.
