It has been months of celebrations as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Asteric Asset Management Ltd, Okelue John Okpoli (KSJ) bags a 1st class chieftaincy title.
An illustrious son of Ubulu Uku kingdom, Aniocha South Local Government Area, whose influence spreads beyond his home town, Okpoli was conferred with the revered title of Oriro of Olomu Kingdom, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State on the 19th of May 2021.
The chieftaincy title was conferred on the renown business executive by the Ohworode of Olomu, HRM Dr. Richard Ogbon in recognition of his contribution to the private sector growth and national development.
Also, conferred with a chieftaincy title as the Ebruvwiyo of Olomu is his beautiful wife Chief (Barr) Mrs Oberhiri Mary Okpoli, a woman of many achievements who has also distinguished herself in law practice and philanthropy.
Present at the installation ceremony, led by the most senior chief of council were prominent chiefs, family members and well wishers.
Olorogun Okelue John Okpoli (KSJ), was also, earlier this year, inducted into the prestigious noble and ancient order of the Knights of St John International (KSJI).
Some of the remarkable philanthropic works of Chief Okelue include his care for the plight of widows and orphans in and around Edo and Delta States.
His passion for their plight spurred him on to team up with the African Gifted Women’s Health Initiative, a Non-Governmental Organisation to address the pressing needs of those vulnerable members of the public.
“We have trained a number of individuals equipping them with skills such as tailoring, industrial cooking and many others.
“We also previously built and commissioned a nursery and primary school for poor orphans in rural Edo State.”
