Popular Enugu ritualist and socialite, High Chief Levi Onyeka Obu, nicknamed “Ezeani” and “E-Dey-Play-E-Dey-Show has been arrested.
The alleged kidnapper and ritual k!ller was apprehended by the Nigerian Immigration Service while attempting to flee the country through a land border.
The suspect was declared wanted after he fled when the bodies of kidnap victims, including a heavily pregnant woman, were found buried in his compound in Unojo, Umumba Ndi-Agu, Ezeagu Local Government Area. A 13-year-old girl was also rescued alive.
Angry community youths stripped him naked and mobbed him before handling him over to the state security agents. His shrines were also set ablaze while the state government ordered the demolition of his mansion.
Authorities say the suspect was intercepted before he could leave the country.
A photo circulating online shows him in handcuffs, confirming his capture.
