The Spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign council, Dino Melaye has called out President-elect, Bola Tinubu saying he lied about his age.
The age controversy surfaced online once again after the former governor of Lagos State marked his 71st birthday on Wednesday, March 29, 2023.
The former lawmaker who represented Kogi West Senatorial district posted a copy of the Guardian newspaper of October 16, 1988 where Tinubu granted an interview.
Dino Melaye, a PDP governorship aspirant wrote: “the Guardian newspaper of October 1998. It contains the interview granted by Tinubu on return from exile.
“His age was stated to be 52 years 1998. Simple Arithmetic will easily establish that he is not 71 years old that he claims to be now in 2023, but rather 87 years.”
