The content creator shared an account on social media detailing an encounter with a group of street boys who blocked his vehicle and demanded settlement before permitting him passage.
The incident contributes to escalating reports from entertainers, professionals and residents regarding activities perpetrated by area boys in various Lagos locations.
Days earlier, Saltiana, younger sibling of Afrobeats performer Ayra Starr and known as DJ Salt of Life, recounted how suspected area boys vandalised her vehicle after mistaking her for the musician and demanding money.
Medical professional Olusina Ajidahun and filmmaker ThankGod Omori separately described experiences of extortion and intimidation by street touts whilst engaged in professional activities across the state.
Ajidahun detailed how touts descended upon a complimentary medical programme in Mushin, threatening disruption unless monetary contributions were forthcoming.
State environmental authorities have previously acknowledged arrest and dispersal efforts targeting street urchins but attributed limited success to public monetary handouts to such individuals.
Officials cautioned that such payments inadvertently encouraged touts to perceive street activity as economically viable and fostered entitlement mentalities.
