A stay at home order has been issued by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State. He asks civil servants to stay home from Monday, 24th March to stem the spiralling spread of Coronavirus.
The announcement was made this Sunday afternoon at a media briefing in Lagos House, Marina, Lagos Island. An official message was thereafter posted in the State Government’s official Twitter handle.
The instruction is directed at civil servants from grade level 01 to 12. The stay at home order is for an initial period of 14 days pending further directives.
In addition, Governor Sanwo-Olu also urged private sector operators to emulate the gesture of the state government. He recommends that the sector’s non-essential staff to stay home to reduce incidences of new infections.
