A former Senator and ex-governorship candidate of the opposition PDP, Dino Melaye has released a song mocking former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello.
Melaye shared the video after the Economic and Financial Crime Commission laid siege on the former Governor’s residence in Abuja on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
Earlier in 2021, Dino Melaye, stormed the headquarters of the EFCC with two bags he said contained documents he tendered against Yahaya Bello.
He claimed the Yahaya Bello administration engaged in corrupt practices in awarding contracts, borrowing from non-capital markets, circumventing of procurement procedures among others.
On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, an Abuja high court granted EFCC permission to arrest Yahaya Bello, ahead of the arraignment on Thursday.
However, a Kogi State High Court dismissed the siege saying the EFCC cannot arrest the ex-governor.
Shortly after the presence of the EFCC at Bello’s residence, a video surfaced on social media of Dino Melaye mocking the ex-governor.
