Abuja — The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has fixed Thursday, 29 October 2026 as the official passing-out date for members of the 2025 Batch ‘C’.
In a statement released by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the management of the scheme announced that the corps members would complete their national service on that day.

“The Management of National Youth Service Corps hereby announces that the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Corps Members would be passing-out from National Service on Thursday, 29th October, 2026,” the statement read.
All corps members, employers and other stakeholders of the scheme have been enjoined to take note of the date.
Certificates of National Service will be distributed to eligible corps members on the scheduled date at the local government level across the country.
The passing-out event will be conducted on a low-key basis. Mandatory activities preceding the ceremony include job advisory and counselling programmes, registration, and final clearance by NYSC Local Government and Zonal Inspectors nationwide.
According to the approved winding-up programme, Job Advisory and Counselling (JAC) activities were scheduled for 13–14 October 2026 at the local government level, organised by the NYSC in collaboration with relevant agencies. From 15 to 28 October, employers are expected to release the outgoing corps members, with further job advisory and counselling continuing during the period.
The NYSC, established in 1973 to foster national unity, integration and development, requires Nigerian graduates to undertake a one-year mandatory service. Successful completion of the programme, marked by the Passing-Out Parade (POP) and issuance of the Certificate of National Service, is a key requirement for many employment and further educational opportunities in the country.
Corps members are advised to complete all outstanding clearance processes with their Places of Primary Assignment (PPAs), Local Government Inspectors and Zonal Inspectors ahead of the date, and to follow any additional instructions from their respective state secretariats.
