A 30-year-old aspirant, Mahmud Sadis Buba, popularly known as Abin Al-Ajabin Zazzau, has successfully completed his screening by the All Progressives Congress for the House of Representatives seat representing Sabon Gari Federal Constituency in Kaduna State.
The aspirant drew widespread attention online after a video from the screening exercise surfaced on social media, with many reacting to his youthful and baby-faced appearance, which made it difficult for some to believe he met the constitutional age requirement for the position.
During the screening, Buba appeared in traditional attire and calmly answered questions from party officials about his age, educational background, and reason for contesting.
He confirmed that he is 30 years old and the firstborn of nine children, stating that his decision to run was based on calls from people in his constituency urging him to serve.
“Help to pass the screening, having passed the requirements, because people called me to serve them, and I will serve. I am not doing this for myself,” he said.
Buba also disclosed that he is contesting alongside the current member representing the constituency in the House of Representatives. Asked why he wanted to replace the lawmaker, he responded, “It is not from me. It is from the people.”
The aspirant currently serves as Chairman of the “Tinubu–Uba Sani Agenda ’27” support group and recently purchased the party’s expression of interest and nomination forms.
His appearance and composure during the screening have continued to generate reactions online.
