Lagos State government issued the advisory ahead of the inauguration of the Fresh Food Hub at Pen Cinema, Agege.
The advisory was released on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, by the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation via its official X account.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is scheduled to commission the facility on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The event is organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems.
Officials expect high volumes of vehicular and human traffic around the Pen Cinema–Agege axis. Motorists using this route are advised to plan their journeys in advance to reduce congestion and delays. Officers of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) will be deployed to manage traffic flow and minimise inconvenience in the area and its surroundings.
The government urged motorists and commuters to use alternative routes where possible, cooperate with traffic officials, and exercise patience while travelling through the area. It regretted any inconvenience and thanked the public for their understanding as the state continues delivering projects aimed at improving livelihoods.
The Fresh Food Hub is part of Lagos’s broader network of mid-level agro-produce facilities to improve food distribution and reduce post-harvest losses.
