Jack Ma – Co-Founder of Alibaba Donates to Africa’s Fight Against Covid-19

Coronavirus Pandemic World

Jack Ma donates medical gear to Africa’s fight against covid-19.

This batch of donations makes it the 3rd time that the co-Founder and former Chief Executive of Alibaba Group is giving back to Africa to ease the pains of the killer disease.

He said this morning, that the donations will leave immediately to the African Centre for Disease control for onward delivery to the Africa Union member states.

The donation comes amid viral videos of mistreatment of Africans in his home country of China.

According to him, “our 3rd donation to Africa will immediately be made to the Africa Union and the Africa Centre for Disease Control.

“This includes 4.6 million masks, 500,000 swabs, and test kits, 300 ventilators, 200,000 clothing sets, 200,000 face shields, 2,000 thermal guns, 100 body temperature scanners and 500,000 pairs of gloves.”

His donations have met with varying reactions from Africans. While many appreciate the gesture, others caution that the items may be Trojan gifts in the light of some insinuations that some world billionaires have as their agenda, to reduce the world population through vaccines and medical gear.

There are also conspiracy theories especially in America that the virus was manufactured in Jack Ma’s home country to disrupt world economies and take over.

Only recently, Bill Gates stepped in to save a cash crunch with the World Health Organisation (W H O) after Donald Trump cut an annual funding of $400,000 dollars to the world body.

Elon Musk has also been seen donating 100s of ventilators to America’s covid-19 treatment centres.
