Fashi Covid19 ! Naija Will do Anything for Gbedu… (video)

Nigerians on Christmas Eve, at the popular Idumota Market, ‘fashied’ covid19 safety protocols, threw caution to the wind and danced the pains and frustrations of 2020 away.

A gospel band had come to simply serenade the traders but it turned out to be a Christmas street carnival of sorts.

No one bothered to wear a face mask, everyone was just ‘boogying’ and ‘gyrating’ away.

One trader said that if she did nto die with all the challenges of 2020, she would never die again.

Such is the mindset in Nigeria now and has indeed always been. Anything that can bring joy and laughter to the faces of citizens. They would ‘fashi’ #COVID19 protocols and drown their sorrows in merriment.

Our pains and frustrations and how short-lived they are, are legendary.

These traders at Idumota needed an inspiration to pretend that they hardship does not exist.

Government or Governor’s calls for safety protocols notwithstanding Naija will do anything for ‘gbedu.’
