Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus and Afrobeats star Davido (David Adeleke) were once close friends. Their relationship reportedly soured in 2022 after the d3ath of Davido’s young son, Ifeanyi.
Badmus had publicly announced the news, which led to tension; Davido and his family unfollowed her on social media, and the pair largely stopped appearing together.
Signs of reconciliation first emerged in November 2024, when the two were spotted chatting and shaking hands at Pastor Tobi Adegboyega’s birthday celebration in London. Badmus shared a video from the event.
The friendship appeared more solidly restored in 2026. In July, Badmus shared photos and videos with Davido and members of his 30BG crew at an event in Abuja, captioning posts along the lines of “with the family 30BG” or “Baddest X Baddo.”
Most recently (reported August 30, 2026), Badmus posted a video of herself greeting Davido with pleasantries and a hug at Vintage Deluxe Interiors’ 40th birthday celebration.
Fans reacted positively online, with comments noting that the pair “miss each other” and expressing joy at seeing the bond restored. This marks another public reunion shortly after the Abuja sighting.
Reports do not explicitly confirm the Vintage event’s location as Lagos (earlier key reunions were in London and Abuja). Badmus has maintained other public activities in Lagos, including community outreach and political engagements, but the Davido reconciliation is the primary story matching “reconciliation” coverage.
No major new details of a separate Lagos-specific reconciliation event involving Badmus appear in current reports. Earlier in 2025, she publicly called for peace and unity in Nollywood after a clash with colleague Laide Bakare at a movie premiere, but that did not involve a formal joint reconciliation event.
