The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today suffered a major blow as former Governor of Ogun State and former campaign manager for the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign in the 2019 elections, Gbenga Daniel dumps the opposition PDP and decamps to the ruling APC.
Gbenga Daniel Contested and won his two terms as governor of Ogun State under the PDP.
As campaign manager for Atiku Abubakar, he worked tirelessly to wrench victory for PDP at the 2019 presidential election.
Information just in says he promised to pick up his APC membership card today. 16th February in Sagamu.
His decision to pick up his membership card unfailingly today is in view of the fact that the ongoing party registration also ends today.
Gbenga Daniel is scheduled to receive the APC Chairman and governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni and three other APC governors today.
Another bigwig, Iyiola Omisore, also left the opposition to join the APC.
With the defection of Omisore and Daniel, there appears to be no strong leader in Ogun State anymore.
