A traditional spiritual practitioner aka babalawo has publicly called out popular Nigerian content creator and streamer Peller, alleging that he performed juju rituals that helped the young star achieve fame and that Peller has since forgotten him.
In a short video that spread rapidly across social media platforms on 23 August 2026, the man—identified in reports as a Babalawo (and referred to by some viewers as Baba Ijebu)—directly addressed Peller. He claimed the streamer visited his shrine more than three years ago in a desperate state, begging and crying for help to become successful.
“Peller, Peller, Peller! I did juju for you to make you blow,” the man said in the clip. He continued: “I remember the time you came to my shrine begging and crying on the ground… For over 3 years now you’ve been blowing, but you don’t remember me. You’ve forgotten me, baba.”
According to the Babalawo, the rituals worked and Peller went on to enjoy significant popularity as a content creator and live streamer. He accused the star of failing to return or fulfil any agreed obligations after achieving success.
Expressing frustration, the traditionalist warned of consequences if Peller does not make amends. In one widely shared version of his remarks, he stated that if he becomes angry, Peller “will not see money again” and urged him to “come and do the right thing” or risk no longer “reigning.”
