Are Nigeria’s Coronavirus Cases Fully Reported ? Listening to tales of woe of foreign-trained medical personnel sends chills down the average human’s spine.

 

Watching the goings on in the US and Spain tells us that even advanced countries are hopelessly stretched thing.

This is moreso due to the face that if they struggle to meet up with demands on their medical equipment, then they will definitely not assist poor nations.

It is even worse when a notoriously corrupt country like Nigeria goes to them to sell us any equipment or medication.

They will also not admit even our wealthiest or super rich medical tourists at this time.

Are Nigeria’s coronavirus cases fully reported ? Are we ready for a seeming looming catastrophe ?

If Italy warns the UK to brace up for a major outbreak, what will they tell Nigeria ?

Whatever the response, would we be witnessing an overhaul of our medical facilities now that our reality stares us in the face ? Is there something good coming out of the coronavirus pandemic for the average Nigerian ?

Will Nigeria’s government consider returning our government medical facilities to what they were even after the civil war ? Will a sensitive hospital unit for treating severe or life-threatening illnesses begin to function again ?

Will Nigeria begin to smell the fragrance of cleaning agents like methylated spirit and chlorine in public hospitals again instead of the morbid smell of decaying blood and human remains ?

Former Senator Shehu Sani asked in a tweet last night if simple supplies will not be given to Nigeria’s common man. For him, if this pandemic happened during the political campaigns, many bags of rice and protective medical gear would have been freely shared.

 

According to Shehu Sani, “#COVIDー19 had arrived Nigeria during electioneering campaigns,every home could have been provided with a free bag of Rice,’Indomie’ & a customized pack containing hand sanitizers,soaps,thermometers and masks;And politicians knocking doors to know how you are faring.”
