Isabel Idibia, teenage daughter of music star 2Baba and Annie Macaulay, has spoken publicly about the emotional impact of her parents’ separation, saying it affected her but that she is coping better over time.
In a radio interview on Yanga FM (also referred to as Yanga 89.9FM Lagos) aired around September 4, 2026, the budding actress and influencer addressed questions about her family.
When asked in Pidgin English whether the separation between her father, Innocent Idibia (known as 2Baba), and her mother, Annie, had affected her, Isabel replied: “I mean obviously yes, but things are getting better day by day.”

2Baba publicly announced in late January 2025 that he and Annie Macaulay had been separated for some time and had filed for divorce. The couple, who share two daughters (Isabel, born in 2008, and a younger sister), had been one of Nigeria’s most high-profile celebrity pairs.
Their relationship dated back many years; they married in 2012 (with a civil ceremony in Dubai in 2013) after a long courtship that included Annie appearing in the video for 2Baba’s hit “African Queen.” 2Baba later married Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
In the same interview, Isabel discussed her relationships with her half-siblings from her father’s other relationships. She said she loves them all, remains close to them, and that her mother Annie has actively encouraged her to maintain those bonds, with the children making a joint effort.
She has previously spoken warmly of her bond with half-sister Ehi. When asked about Natasha Osawaru, reports indicate she declined to comment.
