19-Year Old Stabs Husband in Katsina

A 19-year old woman is in police custody for allegedly stabbing her husband to death.

Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer, Gambo Isah says the young woman murdered her husband using a sharp knife.

The reason for the alleged crime which occurred on Monday the 27th is still unknown.

However, Isah said that residents in the area rushed into the victim’s house when they heard his loud cry for help.

Speaking further, he says that the 25-year-old husband, Shamsudden Salisu’s front door was locked.

Rescuers then climbed over his wall.

“Unfortunately upon reaching there, they met the young man in the pool of his blood.”

“Some people went over the walls into the residence and met the deceased crawling out of his room with a knife wound on his stomach.”

He adds that witnesses saw the wife with a knife stained with blood when they finally accessed the house. The victim was immediately taken to the Malumfashi hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the medical attendants. 

Isah reports that the 19-year-old Rabi Shamsudden of Danjanku Tasha village of Malumfashi LGA in Katsina state was subsequently arrested by police for questioning.
