14th May covid19 report has 193 new confirmed cases of infections across 15 states of the country. Lagos and Kano continue to top the chart in list of new cases. 

Breakdown of new cases by states:

1. Lagos: 58
2. Kano: 46
3. Jigawa: 35
4. Yobe: 12
5. FCT: 9
6. Ogun: 7
7. Plateau: 5
8. Gombe: 5
9. Imo: 4
10. Edo: 3
11. Kwara: 3
12. Borno: 3
13. Bauchi: 1
14. Nasarawa: 1
15. Ondo: 1

 

Highlights of total cases as at 14th May, 2020:

1. Total tested: 30,657
2. Total confirmed: 5,162
3. Active: 3,815
4. Discharged: 1,180
5. Deaths: 167

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje Kano state will be opening a separate ward for women. This is in view of the clamour by the public.

The National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), yesterday received additional medical supplies including personal protective equipment. The items were donated by @UNDP and @CECCgov to support the #COVID19 response activities in the country.

Lagos State covid19 update, 14th May:

A total of 13 patients were discharged, according to the stage governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. They include 11 males and 2 females. No foreign national is included.

The number is made of: 

1. Mainland Infectious diseases hospital, Yaba: 4
2. Lagos University Teaching Hospital: : 9

The newly discharged patients bring the total number of successfully managed cases in the state to 541. All the discharged patients tested negative after 2 consenting readings.

 

Worldwide covid19 figures as at 3:06 am, 15th May, 2020:

1. Total cases: 4,525,103
2. Deaths: 303,351
3. Recovered: 1,703,742
4. Active: 2.518,010
5. Closed cases (cases that had an outcome): 2,007,093
   • Recovered and discharged: 1,703,742 (85%)
   • deaths: 303,351 (15%)
