Pastor Tunde Bakare, Founder of the Citadel Global Community Church also known as the Latter Rain Assembly has criticised Yoruba leaders plotting evil against the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The cleric described the schemings as sinister but fruitless because when Tinubu was working day and night securing the South West for the APC, his detractors were idling around.
Pastor Bakare insisted that the party stalwart enemies’ bitterness and resentment could not be justified.
Bola Tinubu’s only offence according to him, is his ancestral lineage but he had “no choice about his biological mother and father.”
Bakare cautioned that Tinubu’s origin will not resolve the issues that the country faces today.
No minding his “growing up challenges, the downs and the detours of his life, he like Jephthah in the Bible, delivered Lagos State and nearly all the South West States from the onslaught of the PDP from 1999 to 2007.”
The cleric added that without Tinubu’s “cooperation and political dexterity, the APC’s victory at the polls in 2015 and 2019 would have been impossible.”
He called on the APC National Leader’s traducers to remember that everyone has a past, however, the “best of men are still men at the very best.”
For him, the amount of influence the politician has is too big for the gang up against his person.
