A young child accidentally slipped and plunged into a very deep well, estimated to be about 37 meters. As the child fell, the cries echoed from the darkness below.
The mother’s scream shattered the silence, pulling neighbors out of their homes in panic. People gathered quickly, but the well was so deep and dark that no one could see the child.

Fear and helplessness filled the air. When it seemed like nothing could be done, a courageous man stepped forward.

His name was Song, Without delay and without counting the risk to his own life, he volunteered to go down into the well. Time dragged on painfully — 10 minutes passed, then 20, then 30. The crowd grew anxious, praying and hoping against all odds. After about 45 agonizing minutes, a miracle unfolded.
From the darkness below, a hand appeared. It was Song’s hand, slowly making his way up, holding the child alive and safe in his arms. The entire area erupted in tears, shouts, and praise. What could have ended in tragedy became a story of survival. The relieved mother promised to appreciate him, but no gift could ever match the value of the life he saved.
This is a reminder that not all heroes wear capes, sometimes, they are ordinary people who choose bravery at the right moment. Some inspire us and we call them daddy, uncle, brother, son, nephew. People who stand up for you when you need them are also heroes.
God be praised that the baby was saved.
