Mr and Mrs Abiodun Awosika
Nigeria’s lady board room guru, Pastor, motivational speaker, serial entrepreneur, mother, business coach and actress, Ibukun Awosika turns 58 today.
Her birthday coincides with her 30th wedding anniversary and she has so much to thank God for as she reflects on life’s journey so far.
She says she is also grateful and feels special to be born “on a day like Christmas Eve, when there is usually so much joy and celebration.”
Awosika is particularly grateful for her husband who has let her be and blossom in who she was created to be.
The board room guru took to her social media handles to express her gratitude.
According to her, “Reflecting on the grace of God, His mercy, love and favour that has seen me through 58yrs of life and 30 years of marriage.
“It’s special to be born on a day like Christmas Eve, when there is usually so much joy and celebration, but it’s even more special when you can count your blessings and name them one by one despite what has been a very challenging year on many fronts.
“Truly grateful for my husband of 30 years , for his love, encouragement, faith in my journey and for creating an enabling environment for me to blossom.
“We thank you Lord! To all my birthday mates, “ Happy Joyous birthday celebrations “.
Mrs Awosika is a fellow of the African Leadership Initiative and Aspen Global Leadership Network.
She is also a member of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, members the board of the Nigerian Sovereign Wealth Fund, former Chairperson, Board of Trustees of Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ).
A role model to many women, young and old, she is the current Chairman of First Bank of Nigeria.
Ibukun Awosika is Married to Abiodun Awosika and they are blessed with 3 children.
