Nigerian woman, Blessing Paulinus, has taken to social media to publicly call out her ex-husband for allegedly abandoning their two children for over a decade, accusing him of providing no form of support since their separation nearly 11 years ago.
In a strongly worded Facebook post shared on May 16, Blessing recounted her struggles as a single mother, claiming she has been solely responsible for her daughters’ education, healthcare, feeding, clothing, and every other financial need without a single contribution from their father.

“It’s been almost 11 years of doing every single thing alone,” she wrote. “School, medical, feeding, clothes — every single bill.”
According to Blessing, after the collapse of their marriage, her ex-husband allegedly vowed to make life difficult for her and her family, refusing all attempts at co-parenting despite her repeated appeals over a three-year period.
She revealed that the man turned his back on their first child when she was just five years old. Now 15, the teenager, along with her sibling, has grown up without financial or emotional support from their father.
Blessing also disclosed that she has legally changed her children’s birth certificates and state of origin, cutting all ties with her former partner. “I’ve done everything on my own, and I won’t share credit with someone who’s been completely absent,” she declared.
She concluded her post by embracing the label of “bitter single mom” often thrown at women in similar circumstances. “Yes, I wear it with my full chest. Deal with it!” she wrote defiantly.
