Love indeed rules and Cupid is about to pull an interesting irony as Atiku Abubakar’s Son, Aliyu gets set to wed Fatima, Nuhu Ribadu’s daughter.
Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is a PDP stalwart while Nuhu Ribadu, former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is an APC chieftain.
Both political heavy weights, at different times contested the presidential elections under different political parties.
Information gathered from their Aliyu an Fatima’s friends indicate that the wedding will take place in Abuja on Saturday, 3rd of October.

Fatima is is a friend to Hanan, President Muhammadu Buhari’s daughter. She is also one of Ribadu’s 5 children.
On his part, Aliyu is a politician, banker, and director of Priam Group, a company owned by his father.
The union is akin to the love between Romeo and Juliet considering the political differences between both parents who are also prominent indigenes of Adamawa State.
Nigerians have begun cautioning each other for making avoidable enemies of themselves while their principals and political godfathers sort themselves out to their faces:
When Nuhu Ribadu was the Chairman of EFCC in 2006, he accused the then Vice President Atiku Abubakar of directing the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) to place millions of dollars in 2 banks to enable him syphons the money to his business interests.
The EFCC subsequently petitioned Atiku for disqualification from the 2007 presidential race.
At that time, the former Vice President had strong political differences with the his principal, President Olusegun Obasanjo under whom Ribadu remained as anti-corruption Czar.
In an interview with The Cable, he dismissed the accusation saying it was politically motivated because of the issues he had with the President at that time.
