Nollywood actress has replied members of the public who expressed concern that her newlywed daughter, Priscilla may end up divorced just like she did.
She reassured pessimists that she will do her best to guide her daughter knowing that everyone has his peculiar race.
She added anyone waiting for her daughter’s marriage crisis would have to wait forever as she will ensure it doesn’t happen.
Speaking through @yeye_kudi_courtroom on Instagram, Iyabo Ojo said:
“I’ve read so many people and blogs saying my daughter will end up like me, a divorced woman.
“Honestly, I don’t have much to say to you all, because none of you truly know what happened between me and my ex-husband.
“Do you think celebrity marriages are easy? We go through a lot, but because we’re in the public eye, we try to keep things looking perfect. But for how long? Must someone kpai in a marriage just to prove a point? We gave it our best, but when it wasn’t working, walking away was the wiser choice.
As for my daughter, she has her own journey. I can guide her, but I won’t live her life for her. For those waiting for her to divorce, well, you might need to wait forever. She’s not me, and her story will be different.
