Ambassador Yahaya Kwande
Alhaji Yahaya Kwande, who served as the Nigerian ambassador to Switzerland in the past, recently gave an interview to Trust TV in which he discussed the potential of Atiku Abubakar selecting an Igbo candidate to be his running mate in the presidential election of 2027.
He expressed his concerns about Nyesom Wike stating that Wike’s behaviour could lead to him physically confronting the president in the future.
This would make Wike the only vice president that he would be afraid of under any Nigerian president. In addition to this, Kwande elaborated on his views by noting that the Igbo people are an essential part of Africa.
Speaking about individuals who are eligible to hold public office and enjoy the same rights as any other citizen, he asserted that every individual of Igbo descent possesses inherent rights as a citizen of Nigeria.
“On the other hand, the rest of Nigeria is keeping a close eye on his educational advancements. The fact that he is a policeman means that he cannot be ranked first in any activity that is being performed. With the exception of Wike, I am not threatened by anyone else. Considering the trend that Wike is currently on, I believe that he will begin slapping the president of Nigeria at some time in the future if he is nominated vice president to any future president of Nigeria.”
