Media personality,Shade Ladipo has revealed reason people are not watching Gulder Ultimate Search reality TV show.
According to her, the major reason is the lack of sexual content in the show that used to be popular in the 90s.
This is coming after several critics slammed the organizers of the show for unveiling Toke Makinwa as the host of the Gulder Ultimate Search 2021. According to them, the ‘On Becoming’ author made the show lose viewership.
However, Shade Ladipo, in a post shared on her Instagram story, opined that people are not watching the show because there’s no sex, drama and love content, unlike the Big Brother Naija.
Also reacting to those criticizing Toke Makinwa’s level of performance, Shade Ladipo urged critics to let her be and stop rubbishing her work.
She wrote: ‘People are not watching GUS because there’s no sex, love, drama (that involves sex/love) and Awwww, people should let baby girl for life drink water and drop cup na.’
The organizers of the Nigerian reality television adventure show, Gulder Ultimate Search had unveiled Toke Makinwa as their anchor which drew mixed reactions from some social media users who feel Toke Makinwa is not appropriate to take on the role.
In a new post, a critic simply named Omotayo claimed that viewers lost interest in the show immediately after Toke Makinwa was unveiled as the host for this season.
According to Omotayo, OAPs have their area of specialization, thus making Toke unfit to host the GUS as she’s more prominent in the entertainment industry and not hosting reality shows.
Gulder Ultimate Search (also called GUS) is a Nigerian reality television series, created and sponsored by Nigerian Breweries Plc to promote the Gulder Lager Beer.
