The Peopleās Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Bwari Area Council, Julius Adamu, has explained why he withdrew from the upcoming Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council elections.
He said he stepped aside for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Joshua Ishaku Musa.

Adamu explained that his decision followed discussions with the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.
He said he chose to step down to avoid conflict and foster unity, urging his supporters to back Joshua in the election.
āI am standing here before you this afternoon to tell you that I have been in deep consultation with the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike. And i have come to conclusion that I and Joshua, we are brothers.
āIt will not be nice for two brothers to k!ll themselves over one office. Therefore, I have relinquished my support to Hon Joshua.
āI want to urge all my supporters to support Joshua to win this election,ā he said.
Speaking at the event,Ā the FCT Minister,Ā said; The people of Bwari, let me tell you why you should support Joshua.Ā If you vote for Joshua, I will do more roads in Bwari.
“Let nobody make any mistake,Ā on Saturday,Ā come out and make sure that Joshua wins the election.”
The FCT elections, scheduled for Saturday, will cover six area councils, including Bwari, AMAC, Kuje, Kwali, Abaji, and Gwagwalada, with voters set to choose their local leaders
