The United States President Donald Trump will host five African leaders from selected African countries including Gabon, Liberia, Senegal, Mauritania, and Guinea-Bissau from July 9–11, 2025, in Washington, D.C.
The aim of meeting will comprise discussion on trade and investment.

The summit will focus on expanding commercial partnerships, trade, and investment opportunities, signaling a shift from aid-based engagement to economic diplomacy.
The presumed commercial nerve centre of the continent, Nigeria which known to be Africa’s most populous nation and largest economy — was noticeably excluded from the invite list.
The snub has raised questions about the future of U.S.–Nigeria relations under Trump’s renewed political influence.
