A teenage UTME candidate, Opesusi Faith Timilehin who is said to have studied hard ahead of the examination has taken her own life on hearing she failed.
30 minutes after the tragedy happened at Odogunyan, Ikorodu, Lagos State on Monday, the 19-year-old is said to have received news that she passed, sadly, she had passed on.
After ingesting a substance said to be a common pesticide, Timilehin allegedly went to her sister’s office and asked for palm oil to ease the pa!n. The sister, unaware of what had happened, initially ignored her request but moments later, raised an alarm when Timilehin’s condition deteriorated.
An eyewitness revealed that she later confessed on the way to the hospital that she had ingested the lethal substance at home before seeing her sister. Efforts to resuscitate her was futile as she was later pronounced d3ad. The eyewitness alleged that barely 30 minutes after, her admission message from JAMB arrived in her Gmail inbox.
“The shocking revelation is that she was given an admission message via her Gmail yesterday, immediately after she was confirmed d3ad” the family source revealed.
