Human rights activist and convener of the #RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore, has slammed former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, for questioning why Nigerian youths are silent despite the current economic hardship under President Bola Tinubuās government.
āThe price of diesel is at an all-time high, and even some of us are finding it difficult to afford it. Yet, the general public seems unmoved.ā
Reacting to the former ministerās statement, Sowore, a former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), said it is unfortunate that some Nigerian āeldersā who destroyed the country turn around to ask the youths they suppressed and denied leadership opportunities to clean up their mess.
In a post on his X account on Thursday, Sowore said, āNigerian āEldersā will create a mess and turn around to ask āyouthsā to clean up after them.
āWhen the āyouthsā show up to lead, they turn around and accuse the same āyouthsā of lacking experience (of course, using the same āyouthsā to make this absurdity argument).ā
According to Sowore, the only solution to Nigeriaās current leadership and economic woes is revolution.
