Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the senator representing Kogi Central, has allegedly received a menacing d3ath threat filled with explicit and abusive language.
The threat emerged just days after she resumed plenary on Tuesday, following a six-month suspension from the National Assembly.

In a threatening message sent to the senator via iMessenger, Tobechi Okwuonu, using the email address mailtobex2000@yahoo.com, referred to her as a corpse and warned that her d3ath was imminent.
Okwuonu captioned his post: āThere Is No Nigerian Senate,ā the message reads, āYour d3ath sentence is in full swing. The execution is a foregone conclusion. You are a corpse. You are not back to Nigerian Senate because there is no Senate to return to. You are back to your coffin, but not as a zombie this time, you’re back there as a corpse.ā
āRot in hell, Wicked Bitch. You won’t reincarnate. I won’t let you,ā the message added.

Natasha’s return, marks the end of a long standoff that began after she accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of s*xual harassment earlier in the year.
In March 2025, she was suspended for six months over alleged misconduct following a protest against the Senate leadershipās decision to reassign her seat and s*xual harassment allegations against Akpabio.
Consequently, her office was sealed, security details withdrawn, and she was barred from all Senate activities.
She returned to the Senate chamber on Tuesday, October 7, accompanied by civil society activists, including Aisha Yesufu.
Akpoti-Uduaghan maintained she owed no apology for her actions and described Akpabio as a ādictatorā during her suspension.
The latest threat adds to the senatorās growing list of security concerns. In April, heavily armed men reportedly attacked her family’s house in Obeiba-Ihima, Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The assailants reportedly stormed the compound late at night, shooting sporadically and causing panic among residents.
The attack came only weeks after her husband, Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan, raised an alarm over rising threats to her life.
In June, another group of armed men launched a second assault on the same property. During that incident, security operatives reportedly engaged the attackers in a gun duel, leading to the arrest of one suspect identified as Suberu Jose.
The suspect was handed over to the police for further investigation; however, no public update on the case has been released since.
