Nigerians have taken to social media to react to a video of Vice President Kashim Shettima opening the door for his Brazilian counterpart, Geraldo Alckmin.
The incident happened in Nigeria after the duo had a meeting.

After the meeting, Shettima saw him off to his car and went ahead to open the door for him to enter.
The guest who appeared shocked at the unexpected gesture was momentarily not sure what to do afterwards until Shettima again, ushered him and respectfully closed the door while their aides struggled to process the scene.
Shettima’s action has sparked off a debate online. Some Nigerians argue that his action was out of courtesy and portrayed him as a humble man. Others however argue that it is inappropriate for a Vice President to open the car door for another Vice President.
