There have been reactions to the trending video of the moment the Olu of Warriās security team prevented a lady from shaking his hand at an event.
The monarch was in Lagos state on Tuesday, January 6, attending an event at the Wole Soyinka Center for Culture and Creative Arts.
Just as he arrived at the venue, organizers of the event filed out to receive the king, After being received by some of the organizers, one of them went further by introducing the young lady as a member of their team.
Immediately after her name was mentioned to the king, the young lady stepped forward and stretched her hand to shake the monarch. This was immediately stopped by the security detail of the monarch who immediately slapped her hand down.
The king however went on to acknowledge her and greet her, even if he did not shake her nor initiate a handshake with her.
