The presidency has reacted to an open letter by Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote commending the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
The Senior Special Assist to the president on Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga described the letter as “an honest and thoughtful assessment” of the president’s performance.
He said that “It sharply contrasts with the opposition’s claim that the president has achieved nothing in the last two years.
According to Onanuga, “Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, in a rare newspaper advertisement, has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s transformative leadership.
“Dangote commended Tinubu for addressing ocean surges and flooding in Victoria Island, as well as for building a new Atlantic city and expanding the country’s infrastructure by simultaneously embarking on the construction of the Lagos-Calabar and Sokoto-Badagry superhighways.
“The advert, an honest assessment of President Tinubu’s leadership, contrasts sharply with opposition claims that the president has achieved nothing in the past two years.“
Dangote’s letter comes at a time when the Tinubu administration faces criticism over economic challenges and inflation, providing a boost to the presidency’s public image on infrastructure and climate resilience.
