A popular Abuja based chef, Emeka Eloagu has been found dead at his home in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The exact cause of death is till unknown but an account by some of his friends said he was stabbed to death by assailants who gained access into his home.
Another account says the chef was killed by two persons whom he granted access to his apartment. They allegedly stripped him naked, tied him up and strangled him.
Chef Eloagu is the Creative Director of Helenes Food Company, an Abuja Based brand.
His lifeless body is reported to have been found in his apartment on Sunday, 1st of August.
The Cable reports that Mariam Yusuf, FCT police spokesperson said that operatives of the force are still investigating the case to ascertain the exact cause of the popular chef’s death.
He is known to create a combination of French cooking methods with Nigerian cuisine. He has also hosted prominent celebrities and politicians at his restaurant.
Eloagu is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Paris with Grande Diploma in cuisine and patisserie.
The popular Abuja Chef once described himself as, “Chef Emeka believes in the artistry of food. He believes good food connects us with people and places and is an important aspect of cultural heritage. He enjoys travelling the world, learning.”
Emeka Eloagu is survived by his wife and relatives.
