Protesters on Tuesday returned to the National Assembly Complex for the second consecutive day, intensifying calls for real-time transmission of election results from polling units to the Independent National Electoral Commissionās IREV portal.
They also carried placards bearing strong messages, including āDonāt alter the bill, pass it,ā and āRigging election is a coup,ā alongside other inscriptions.

The chants were directed at Senate President Godswill Akpabio, as demonstrators urged the leadership of the National Assembly to prioritise the bill.
While at it, the Nigeria Police released teargas at the demonstrators, dispersing them instantly.
