Nollywood actor, Ajemba Stanley Chibueze, popularly known as Stanley Ontop has been arrested by the police.
Stanley made this known in a post shared via his Instagram story on Friday.
The actor who is studying law at Dennis Osadebe University in Asaba, Delta State, said he was arrested within the school premises over a petition from an unknown person.
The actor questioned the school authorities for allowing the police to arrest him without a prior invitation.
He wrote, “Some policemen came to my school this afternoon to arrest me over a petition from an unknown person. Coming to school to arrest me, the school authorities and the government must be aware of this lawlessness.
“How can you invade a university to perfect my arrest, what happened to an invitation ?
Fellow Nollywood actor Frederick Leonard recently filed a petition against Stanley Ontop over alleged defamation of character.
The petition, dated January 28, 2026, was sent to the Delta State Police Command through Leonard’s lawyers, Uche Okoro & Co.
In the document, the actor accused Stanley Ontop of making repeated statements that damaged his reputation without any provocation for more than two years.
Leonard also claimed that the filmmaker has been spreading stories that painted him in bad light, which he said created a wrong public image of him.
He maintained that the actions were deliberate and harmful to his personal and professional life.
