The presidential aspirant of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has congratulated Atiku Abubakar, Nigeria’s former vice president, on his emergence as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 election.
Peter Obi, was Atiku Abubakar’s running mate during the 2019 presidential. Unfortunately, they lost to President Muhammadu Buhari.
In his tweet on Sunday, May 29, Obi described the former Governor of Adamawa State as his leader and brother.
While the PDP candidate popularly known as Atiku will again bear the flag of the opposition party, his former running mate is expected to challenge him under the platform of the LP.
Obi’s tweet: “On behalf of my family, I sincerely congratulate my leader and dear elder brother, H.E @atiku, on his emergence as the 2023 presidential flag bearer of the @OfficialPDPNig,” Mr Obi tweeted Sunday afternoon. “I pray that the Almighty God who sees your goodness will continue to bless you now and always. -PO”
