Nigerian gospel singer Adeyinka Oluwatobi, also called Nifemi Gold, recently shared a traumatic experience in an interview posted on Wasilacoded TV’s YouTube channel on August 22, 2025.
She revealed that a music producer who once worked with her suddenly entered her room at night, locked the door, and s*xually assaulted her.

Nifemi explained that she had asked the children staying with her not to close the door while she slept so they could check on her occasionally. Around midnight, the kids came in to wish her a happy birthday and then left.
Since she has a spinal cord injury, she usually slept on her stomach for comfort. That night, she heard the door opening and called out to her child, but nobody answered. The producer then came inside and forced himself on her in front of her child. When her child tried to stop him, the producer grabbed the child’s arms tightly and warned her the door was locked and no one would hear her cries.
The singer broke down, saying the pain from that night still affects her today and worsened her spinal injury. The attacker even called a pastor who threatened Nifemi, warning her not to tell anyone or she would d!e. Despite this, she stood firm, saying she would not be silenced and entrusted justice to God.
In her words, “My producer called a pastor in my presence who threatened me that if I tell anybody about what happened, I would die, but I told them I won’t d!e, and I left everything in the hands of God to judge between me and the producer.“
